La Roche-Guyon

La Roche-Guyon  •
we docked here this morning, and enjoyed a very relaxed time. The Chateau tour had too many steps, so we just walked into the little town and then had coffee and a pastry. The Chateau is quite beautiful from the outside, was built in 1190 and has become the drawing card for this village.

An Afternoon of Gastronomy

Paris  •
This excursion from the ship was really fun! We were a small group of 7, we took the metro to another part of Paris (really don't know where.. LOL) We began at a Creperie. The crepes were delish! Morning Outing in Paris: Museum L'Orangerie

Paris  •
we had time this morning to take a walk in Paris and see a wonderful museum! The Monet water lilies were spectacular. We stopped for lunch at a little bistro on the corner with a typical Parisienne menu. It was fun and kicked-back.

Beaujolais Winery Tour & Small Town

Lyon  •
this delightful tour took us to a vineyard/winery and we enjoyed the wine cellar tour, the vineyard and the wine tasting. What I learned from this tour is that in the US we identify wine by the grape (chardonnay, cabernet etc.) In France, the wine is identified by the area in which it is grown. Henc...

A small town near Lyon. We thought it would be interesting to see this place. Unfortunately the cobblestone streets were impossible for the wheelchair. So, I went on the little walk, and Howard hung out near the tourist office. The town itself is well preserved walled town with medieval buildings. O...
