I signed up for a cooking class here, which was at a private cooking school, with a complete setup for cooking Bulgogi, basically Korean Stir-Fry. It was good to see their recommendations for slicing the beef and vegetables. We made a marinade for the beef, which was quite good, and for me the best part of the recipe. Not difficult, one I will use at home.
After lunch (the stir-fry we had made, plus rice and sauces), it was off to the Lotte Department Store. Most of the ladies in the group felt the same as I did… we did not need to walk around a department store much like a glorified Bloomingdales. We would have preferred smaller, boutique shops special to the area. However, the store’s basement, with places to eat, plus produce and fresh fish, was quite interesting. After that, back to the ship and an opportunity to sit outside with Howard while in port, relaxing and enjoying the weather.
