We had a kick-back day in Venice. Ashore on the shuttle boat around 12:30 pm, a little browsing around on the waterfront and lunch with a ring-side table for people watching. It's Halloween and we expected to see lots of kids in costume etc. But: not so much. Actually this is a big holiday weekend - All Saints Day - and everything is crowded and busy. The small streets off of St. Mark's Square are very accessible, so we did some window shopping. I ended up in one store and purchased a lovely sweater and slacks. Howard was kind enough to wait, but his patience did come to an end! Later, a coffee and ice cream on the Square and we were treated to more kids in costume. Nice to have a day without too much to do!
the next day is in the next post.
